drooooool........
One lazy weekday afternoon, while I was semi-dozing at my desk and trying to wake myself up by listening to the likes of Prodigy and Rammstein (and failing miserably, of course), my good friend Anita decided to send some of us some pictures. Instantly, I was up, alert and craving (chee! shame on me - I was just back from lunch). I had already heard plenty about Shiok and the MadMan from her and was dying to go there, but these pictures moved the topmost item on my "Life-Goals" list and replaced it effortlessly.
I.HAD.TO.GO.TO.SHIOK.
Finally, after many, many, many weeks of waiting, we made it to Shiok, a hungry bunch of 8. Our dishes were picked by the delightful host himself. But wait, there was one picture stuck in my head and I had to have it. The MadMan decided to make it himself, and my goodness, one bite and all those speeches that people give when they reach the summit of some treacherous mountain just wrote themselves in my head. (Where were the cameras?....:P)
The food was simply phenomenal, the experience amazing, and the cheesecake, out of this world. Must Go. Must Try. Must experience bliss!
Many thanks to Anita and the MadMan. :)

I love women who eat well (I see so many picking at their food, you know constantly worried about calories, and me feeling like an absolute hog!!).
So am I glad I met someone who enjoys what she eats :) Your expression, when you dug into that cheescake at Millers was to die for!
And ditto when you had your shrimp pineapple fried rice at Shiok! Now you know, why I was raving about Madman's food. I personally loved that fish he made - god only knows what he puts in it! It was heavenly - I can still taste it. Hehe.
My cookery classes are fun and affordable. Sign up today! :)
Anita, that fish uses my patented red curry paste and a few other things. :)
