The Amazing Cake Lady!
Ladies and Gentlemen, have you met Sangeeta Damani, the amazing cake lady!?
A few months ago, Bangalore was suddenly blessed with mind-blowing dessert in several restaurants and I was thrilled - I mean, really?! Blueberry Cheesecake in Bangalore?! and boy, was it delicious or what?!I am still hooked and find that I always have room for a slice, even after the heaviest meal.
And then Poo went and make this remarkable discovery - all these super yummilicious things are all made by Sangeeta Damani. The Blueberry Cheesecakes, the fruit gateaux (see above), the strawberry gateaux, the blueberry cake I got for my birthday...... I can't tell you how delicious they all are! All the cakes she makes are totally melt-in-your-mouth delicious. Just one bite and you can see people open their eyes wide and go "mmmmmmmmmmmmm". Last week, I ordered a large strawberry gateau for 20 people. Only 10 people were there and the entire cake disappeared in no time. Don't even ask about my birthday cake - people were lucky they got one piece : that fruit gateau you see up there - the fruit (note: strawberry, grape and kiwi included) is soaked in some yummy sugary syrup thing and it becomes this highly delectable gelatinous fruity layer and oh! the taste is just magical. So, basically, the next you have a decent excuse to get yourself a cake (mine is usually "Oh, I have nothing to do on Monday, so let's get cake"), I suggest you call Sangeeta at 98450 36988 and order something. I must mention that her cakes are more expensive than usual, but I would pay twice the price for cake like that (and please don't tell her I said that!!).

I love those cakes too. Sigh. Sangeeta Damani is Bangalore's very own Vianne Rocher (of Chocolat fame).

On a more philosophical note, I know I am precluded from several human indulgences, what with me being electronic and all. But, it is pleasures like this, that sometimes make me wanna ......live!

By the way Vaish, does Sangeetha have an outlet somewhere? Or is it just cakes on demand?
Oh..was that sooper dooper cake we had in ur place that Sunday from Sangeeta?..MAN...that was outta this world..I dont usually take cakes cos I got a sweet tooth but that was just simply AMAZING!!!
Sigh... there you are, having nice cakes, while I'm at Haridwar, having twice-fried, oil-dripping mixed pakoras, trying hard not to gag. Blechh.
And the c-cold... shudder.

I must admit : I never had such delicious cake before AND fruit gateaux is really awwesome.
the kiwi cake is also too superb. i have been there couple of times , the n-eastern guys over there are too friendly.
